In Quezon province, there are at least 6 health workers that are confirmed to have the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), which brings the total of the recorded cases to 16.
Based on the report on Monday, the Quezon Public Information Office has disclosed about the confirmed COVID-19 cases in the province that rose to 32 from the 25 cases on Monday.
Six of the new seven cases are health workers, said the local chief executives of Lucena City. Which is the towns of Real and Pagbilao, and the local government of Tayabas City.
According to Lucena Mayor Roderick Alcala, the two new cases from Quezon are a doctor and a nurse that are both working in a local medical facility.
Mayor Shierre Anne Portes Palicpic of Pagbilao of Quezon said on her Facebook page that the first two confirmed COVID-19 cases in their locality are working from Lucena hospital.
Mayor Bing Diestro-Aquino said the first lone COVID-19 case from their town is also a health worker. And also in Tayabas was a health worker in a local hospital as well.
From the 16 health workers, 6 of them are from Lucena and 4 of them are doctors.
