Patrick Fleming is the Netflix Director for Product Innovation has said this to the reporters that, “We are launching a new plan for the Philippines… We are super excited to announce that it will be offered for P149 only,”
Flemming said that Netflix subscribers will be able to “enjoy all the films and shows on uninterrupted and without ads on one smartphone or tablet at a time at P149 per month .”
They added a mobile plan on Netflix’s existing plan offerings — basic at P369 per month, standard at P459 a month, and premium at P549 per month.
The mobile plan also launched in Thailand and the product has been offered in India, Indonesia, and Malaysia.
Netflix is optimistic about offering the mobile-only subscription in the Philippines for the Filipinos are spending a lot of hours every day watching online content on mobile phones, Fleming said.
He said, “We’re enthusiastic to introduce the mobile plan in the Philippines to make it even easier for anyone with a smartphone to enjoy Netflix. At home or on the go, now more people can watch all the shows and movies Netflix has to offer, wherever and whenever they want,”
