The Department of Health (DOH) announces on Sunday another twenty-nine (29) new confirmed cases of COVID-19 disease in the country rises up to one hundred forty (140) total number of afflicted patients as of writing.
The DOH also reported that there are three (3) additional death cases rising up to 11 total death toll in the Philippines.
The DOH also revealed the three (3) patients died of coronavirus; they are patient 9, patient 39, and patient 54. According to the DOH, the age of patient 9 is 86-year-old male and American national from Marikina City who died late afternoon on Saturday, while the patient 54 age is 40-year-old male, Filipino from Pasig City who died early on Sunday, and the patient 36 is a 64-year-old male, Filipino from Negros Oriental who also died about 11:00 a.m. of the same day.
The government issued advisory alert sub-level 2 of the Red Code order and putting the situation under a state of public health emergency for the purpose of containing the spread of COVID-19.
This morning, Sunday, March 15, 2020, the Metro Manila started implementing community quarantine and expected to end on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 as government hope from the community to do their part so that spread of the virus will be contained as early as possible.
