Authorities made their first arrest to the 26-year-old due to the violation of failing to obey the 14-day quarantine period.
According to the report published by the dailymail.co.uk, the officers on the Isle of Man held the 26-year-old suspect for violating against quarantine rules ordered by the British Crown dependency emergency legislation in the island of the Irish Sea in UK.
Authorities have confirmed the first arrest of the Briton man who name was not revealed in grounds of breaching strict quarantine rules which was imposed by the government to contain the spread of the killer coronavirus.
Report said, the man arrested is facing fine of up to £10,000 and could be jailed for three months if found guilty and he will appear in court to defend himself.
The Chief Minister for the Isle of Man Howard Quayle declared emergency measures in light of the global Coronavirus pandemic.
Mr Quayle said: ‘We are taking action to protect our residents and to ensure life can continue as normal as possible during this unpredictable time.
‘We are advising against all non-essential travel off the Island, and the measures being introduced from tomorrow are aimed at minimising the risk of those arriving in the Island infecting our population.’
Recently, in the city of Bacolod, there was a similar case of a man identified by the authorities as Felix Alejo who was subjected to the same compliance of 14-day quarantine period as the city government implemented community quarantine with all the borders on the city strictly monitored by the health authorities. Reportedly, the suspect escape from the quarantine area in Mambukal Resort in Murcia, Negros Occidental. But NOCPPO Provincial Director Col. Romeo Baleros reported that he was arrested on his residence in Camella, Mandagan, Bacolod City the following day.
