A woman that is infected with COVID-19 had recently gave birth to a healthy baby in Greece.

Based on the Greek reporter, both the baby’s parents were tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.

According to the Doctors from Attikon Hospital who did the cesarean operation, the virus was not transferrable via the placenta, which makes the baby tested negative for COVID-19.

That’s why even if the mother has a COVID-19, her baby would still be born coronavirus free for as long as there would be no contact between them. Which makes the woman that is infected with COVID-19 will still gives birth to a healthy baby.

The baby’s mother had to stay in isolation for 14 days before she will be able to hold the baby. The Doctors in PPE’s did the cesarean operation on the mother.

Based on the report from Philstar, the doctors had to wear three pairs of gloves, masks and protective glasses during the operation.

Recently, the World Health Organization has established that the virus can be transmitted via airborne droplets. For the doctors who did the operation, they said that it was an entirely unique experience.
