Passengers aboard on Cebu Pacific Airline flight January 21, 2020 with the two positive cases of coronavirus is being tracked by the health authorities.

Our team learns that the 44-year-old Chinese who died on Sunday is a companion of the 38-year-old Chinese woman who was confirmed by the Department of Health (DOH) positive of coronavirus and admitted on January 25 in one of the hospital in Manila.
The two were both from Wuhan in Hubei province who took their flight from Hong Kong to the Philippines in Manila on January 21 and traveled to the central Philippines in Cebu City and from Cebu to Dumaguete City.
Dr. Francisco Tiongson Duque III, DOH Secretary said passengers aboard the flights together with the two Chinese national positive of coronavirus were being tracked by the authorities.
The cabin crew and pilots on the said airplane who took the infected passengers have been quarantined and the aircraft undergo in-depth disinfection.
The management of Cebu Air Inc, that operates Cebu Pacific Airlines is working hand in hand with the health authorities contacting all passengers aboard in those two flights on January 21 based on their passenger’s record.
Duque assured all possible precautionary measure is taken into action to contain the spread of the coronavirus that threatens not only in China but all other countries including the Philippines.
“We are currently working with the Chinese embassy to ensure the dignified management of the remains according to national and international standards to contain the disease,” he said.
Cebu Air and Philippine Airlines and other local unit of AirAsia Group in the country, have canceled flights to China this month, joining many others countries in the world that also suspend flights.
The Philippine government recently announces to expand its travel ban amid the outbreak to include all foreigners coming from China, Hong Kong and Macau.
