Bacolod City council proposing to declare “Persona Non-Grata” against veteran broadcaster Ben Tulfo.

This is in connection to the allege embarrassing and maligning Bacolod City Mayor Evelio “Bing” Leonardia reflecting to the bad image of the entire city of Bacolod.

Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran is initiating his leadership to campaign to the City Council members to pass this proposal for approval.

Familiaran narrated that broadcaster Ben Tulfo is compromising the good name of Bacolod City by just airing unverified report regarding allege anomaly in basketball event last October 2019 during the Masskara Festival celebration in the city.

According to report, a certain “Norma” is organizing basketball event between Bacolod City police officers and male cast of “Ang Probinsyano” of Kapamilya Network by which the said Norma a basketball organizer allegedly accusing the city mayor’s office of not compensating the expenses incurred.

The city official did not acknowledge the claim of Norma because they claim is not true.

Familiaran explained that the basketball even is not related to the official program of Masskara Festival celebration which is contradict to the report aired by Ben Tulfo in his radio program.

Councilor Victor Espino gives his statement supporting the statement of Vice Mayor Familiaran. Espino said, that Bacolod City office has no obligation to the said basketball event. Espino also added that he can prove the truth because he is the person in-charge of Peace and Order Committee during the event.

Upon writing, members of Bacolod City Council are planning to hold an assembly to come up with a resolution declaring Ben Tulfo as a “Persona Non-Grata.”
