Balancing academics and personal interest was never easy. Elementary, High School and College, we all learn a little more about ourselves as the time goes by. What we are good at, what we are capable of doing and what brings out the best in us.
Nikki San Diego Lejano, an aspiring teacher, inspires a lot of people by choosing both of her career and passion. Even though that some people would actually discourage her as she was joining pageants and at the same time studying in college, she never gave up her studies and her passion.
In four years, she won five crowns:

- Bb. Gasan-Turismo 2017
- Miss Education 2018
- Miss BulSU-SC 2018
- Miss Tanglawan 2018
She said, “Matapos ang mga pictorials na dala ang mga requirements na kailangan tapusin. At ang paulit ulit na tanong kung Toga o Korona. Pinili ‘ko ang korona at toga! If someone asks you to choose between Passion or Career. Always answer “I can do both.” Gawin mong career ang passion mo! H’wag mong hayaang alisin ka ng mga taong hindi naniniwala sa kakayahan mo sa daang tinatahak mo.”
Nikki served as an inspiration to those students who are constantly torn between choosing their career over passion. She was a living proof that students can still hold on to their passions while building their career. Many congratulated her for her achievements as she open another chapter of her life as a teacher.
