Congratulations to Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2017 for Day 2 earnings that broke box-office records as it exceeded the 2015 first and second day gross sales.

According to MMFF Execom Chair Tim Orbos, the foot traffic to the theaters tripled compared to the last year film festival on 2016.

He also said that the great achievement of MMFF 2017 in the industry this year brings back the “Kababayan” flocking to the theaters to patronize the Filipino movie, thus, prompting the Execom to commit to continue supporting the making of quality films and appealing our kababayan to support and watch all films entry.

He also added that it took quite some time before they can see this level of enthusiast of our “kababayan” going back to theater again.

On the other hand, the Instagram post of Execom Public Relations head spokesperson Noel Ferrer reiterated that all official are committed to support the fest by way of not revealing any figures of ranking or standing of every entry not even a day-to-day updates until the end of the festival on January 7.
