Maute Members Appeared On Video to Reveal Purpose on Their Attack in Marawi City

On video uploaded in Facebook page by certain “Boy Bastos”, two members of Maute group intended to appear themselves in video to reveal their purpose of attacking Marawi City.

According to one of them who answered questions in video footage, in connection to the question of what purpose they come to attack Marawi City, he then said that they didn’t come to destroy civilians and innocents but they come to make Islam real implementation to every Muslim people.

Earlier, Marawi City is in critical situation due to the exchange of gunfire between Maute group and military deployed in the city of Marawi to response the chaos brought about the terrorist attack. The said incident kills both from the military and Maute group and capture religious communities in the city and other government offices including the city jail, city hall, schools and hospital.

In connection to this, President Duterte put the entire Mindanao into martial law in which the “contra partido” would like to investigate into the hearing court.

The video report is hard to understand due to the language they are using, but a certain reporter “Miah Ambor” was able to translate the conversation.

Maute: Hindi kami pumunta dito para manira ng kabuhayan or manira ng buhay ng mga civilan, bagkus gusto namin na ipatupad ang Islam
Q2: Anong masasabi niyo sa mga residente ng Marawi na nasiraan ng mga kabuhayan?
Maute: Normal sa buhay ng tao yung minsan iwanan nya yung kabuhayan niya dahil pag un ang tiningnan mo, ibig sabihin hindi bukal sa loob mo yung islam
Q3: Gaano kayo katagal na namamalagi dito sa Marawi?
Maute: Walang kasiguraduhan, God knows.
Q4: Anong masasabi nyo sa balitang my third party dito sa mga nangyayari?
Maute: Matakot kayo sa diyos”
