President Rodrigo Duterte talks about Senator Leila De Lima’s admission in relationship with her former driver Ronnie Dayan. It’s a stretch because you have to prove that Ronnie Dayan [is involved], [but] he cannot be found, you can’t get his statement so he cannot answer for himself, he’s not around, said Duterte.

During the interview of De Lima on GMA New TV, she told that her driver / bodyguard had been her boyfriend. Some witnesses had tagged Dayan as De Lima’s alleged bagman in collecting drug money from highly profile drug lords when she was a justice secretary.

Last August 2016, President first publicized De Lima’s relationship with her driver and threatened to reveal a private video.  Last Tuesday, Duterte hopes that Dayan will be able to testify as witness on the alleged accusation against De Lima. “Why did he disappear, I hope he (Dayan) still alive. He is a vital witness,” Duterte told to reporter.

The National Bureau of Investigation filed multiple charges against De Lima, Dayan, and 15 others for their alleged involvement in the drug trade at the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) when De Lima was the justice secretary.
