It has been reported on Sunday, October 09, a hostage-taking drama at SM Dasmariñas.

A certain mall employee named as Carlo Marcus Ladra, 32 years old from Leyte province has taken a hostage a janitress inside one of the mall’s toilets.  The hostage taker was reportedly seen with a knife while holding the victim.  The incident has cause to secure and isolate the shopping center.

The chief of the Dasmariñas City police, Superintendent Rodolfo Hernandez, has told the DZMM that the hostage was caused by a “love triangle” between married couple.  As of 2:40 p.m., negotiations between the security personnel, police and the hostage-taker are still in progress.

Supt. Hernandez said that the two persons have been reported wounded.  CNN Philippines earlier reported that SM Management has announced that the situation is already under control and asked the public to stay calm.  And as of press time, the SM Dasmariñas is still going to issue a statement.  The local police is still investigating the hostage-drama.
