Typhoon Helen (Megi) maintained its course as it continues to move towards Taiwan. The state weather bureau PAGASA posted in social media that Typhoon Helen was 355 kilometers east northeast of Basco, Batanes, (22.1°N, 124.9°E). The closest the distance distance to Batanes on Tuesday, September 27, 2016. And the typhoon is expected to exit PAR tomorrow evening.

As of 3:50 AM, PAG-ASA stated that Thunderstorm is affecting Bataan, Zambales(Olongapo) which may persist within 2 hours. Expect thunderstorm over Bulacan, Pampanga and in other areas of Zambales within the next 1 hour.

The public and the disaster risk reduction and management council concerned are advised to take appropriate actions.

All are advised to take precautionary measures against heavy rains, strong winds, lightning and possible flash floods.
