The long battle of canc3r stage 4 has ended. Respectable senator from Iloilo Miriam Defensor Santiago, died at around 8:52 a.m. Thursday, September 29, 2016 at the age of 71, at St. Luke’s Medical Center Global City.
Bereave husband Atty. Narcisco “Jun” Santiago confirmed the report.
“She died in her sleep this morning,” Atty. Narcisco told dzBB.
The late senator is survived with her husband Atty. Narcisco “Jun” Santiago, Narcisco Santiago III and youngest son Alexander Robert who died earlier on 2003.
Santiago ran for president last May presidential election being optimistic, that like her other battle in different aspect of her life she believes that she could beat the disease.
Santiago diagnosed with stage 4 lung canc3r since July 2014.
