Manila, Philippines – Samsung Electronics has stopped their sales and announced on Friday, September 2, global recall of Galaxy Note 7 due to some reports of explosions.
Samsung published through its website that there have been 35 cases of Galaxy Note 7 with defects on its battery cell as of September 1, 2016.
The company added they are currently conducting a thorough inspection to possibly identify affected batteries in the market together with their suppliers thus expressed their commitment to producing the highest quality products and values the customers seriously. And in response to recently reported issues of the new Galaxy Note 7, customers’ safety is, more importantly, their priority, they have stopped their sales.
In one case from China on August 25, a man has shown photos of his Galaxy Note 7 after his handset was caught by fire and exploded while being charged. He added that his smartphone was plugged in at night and he heard an explosion and find out his handset was on fire.
Samsung Electronics has promised unit replacement for those who have Galaxy Note 7 devices.
