Bacacay Albay – A 62 years old blind man with an inspiring story to tell.  His name is Achilles Besin or known as Lolo Kile in their place, is selling ice drops alone on behalf of his blind condition.  This doesn’t hinder him from working harder and find a livelihood in their city.

Lolo Kile was totally blind since he was still 2 years old and he was suffering from this condition for 60 years already.

According to him, he is also a massage therapist in the afternoon in their place as an additional income and a ‘Balot’ vendor by night.  He is the one who boils his balot and sell this in the evening.  He uses his staff as a guide in walking to sell his balot.

6o years of this condition was never an easy life for this old man but then with a strong sense of his environment, nobody can fool him when he is giving change to customers.  Lolo Kile can still identify the value of money that was paid to him.

This story from Lolo Kile is such an inspiring one that no matter his condition he doesn’t give up and yet is still more determined in life to work harder.
