Is Philippines will host the upcoming 2016 Miss Universe pageant after two decades? Yes it is true as the confirmation by Secretary Wanda Teo of Department of Tourism. According to Wanda Teo, the president comes from Mindanao and the Miss Universe is from Mindanao so this is the best time to do Miss Universe in the Philippines. President Duterte has requested pageant organizers to hold auxiliary events outside Metro Manila in order to avoid traffic jams. Tourist spots for venues for pageant events, “Boracay, Cebu, Davao, Palawan, Cagayan de Oro and Vigan.”

The Philippine government will not spend anything for the event, said Teo. According to Teo, the pageant estimated cost is $11 million. Kazuo Okada (Japanese Billonaire) and Chief of Tiger Resort and Henry Sy, the richest man in the Philippines are among those who volunteered to sponsor the event.
