They were also joined by an impersonator of Vice Presidential Candidate and Camarines Sur representative Leni Robredo – known in the skit as Simpleni.

During the Star Buzz portion of Sunday PinaSaya last May 15, 2016, the talented comedian appeared as Rodney Juterte and the viewer’s rave about Jose’s impeccable comedic timing. In the official YouTube account of GMA Network, they uploaded a video entitled “Rodney Juterte and Simpleni Face-Off”. It was a certified hit on YouTube, garnering more than 1, 100, 000 views and still counting since it was uploaded 4 days ago.

During the Star Buzz portion, Juterte greeted everyone in the audience and had the tough-talking president-elect’s hand gestures down pat.

“Hindi ako nag-bus pag-Davao papunta dito. Mahirap mag-bus. Sinubukan ko minsan iyan, naku, lumubog [dahil sa] lakas ng alon,” he said at one point, in reference to Robredo’s habit of taking the bus going to her hometown of Naga. “Pagsakay, lumubog yung barko kasama yung bus.”
