The non-title fight of Manny Pacquiao vs Timothy Bradley (3) in the third time, this coming Saturday April 9, 2016 (Sunday Philippine Time). The winner will bring home what it calls a “legacy belt”. Manny Pacquiao admitted on Monday that his mind “says to retire.”
“After this fight I have already said that my mind is to focus on my job. If I win a Senate seat (in May), I have a big responsibility and I need to focus on that,” said Pacquiao.
“I cannot say right now that I am going to retire. I don’t want to say that because I don’t know what the feeling is when you leave boxing. I will give it great thought when I return home. My mind right now says to retire, but we don’t know.”
Round 1: A very good first round for both fighters, they were tied in terms of punching power and strategy and still looking forward for a possible advantage early in the first round. Scores: Pacquiao – 10 vs. Bradley – 10
Round 2: During the first minutes of the second round, Bradley got the advantage but in the later part of the round, Pacquiao bounced back. Scores: Bradley – 20 vs. Pacquiao – 19
Round 3: Pacquiao cornering Bradley and lands a left, then dodges two hard punches from Bradley. Bradley scores with a left hook now. Jabs traded now by both fighters. Good body shot from Bradley off an angle.Tight round Scores: Bradley – 29 vs. Pacquiao – 29
Round 4: Decent right hand from Bradley, but he eats a left later. Lots of missed shots, but Pacquiao’s doing the work of moving forward, but Pacquiao lands a right hook that was very hard. Good misdirection right hand for Bradley before the final bell. Scores: Bradley – 38 vs. Pacquiao – 39
Round 5: Scores: Bradley – 47 vs. Pacquiao – 49
Round 6: Scores: Bradley – 56 vs. Pacquiao – 59
Round 7: Pacquiao knocked down Bradley but recovered. Scores: Bradley – 64 vs. Pacquiao – 69
Round 8: Scores: Bradley – 74 vs. Pacquiao – 78
Round 9: Pacquiao knocked out Bradley and the most interesting part, a somersault by Bradley. Scores: Bradley 82 vs. Pacquiao – 88
