It may seem like a words to be spread or a play in words, now, Mayor Duterte has been clarifying his speeches and claims in the campaign especially to everyone’s favorite line: To stop crimes, drugs and corruption in 3 to 6 months.

In the recent campaign in a thousands of people in Taguig City he stated, “I can promise you, I will suppress crime – hindi ‘stop,’ that’s impossible – not in months, but in weeks,” and in recent campaign in Cainta he stated, the same clarification.

He stated, “Synonym ng suppression is stopping. Hindi ko talaga mai-stop as in stop (I cannot really stop as in stop). For as long as there is society, and there are men and women and children in a society there will always be crime. When I say ‘suppression,’ it’s really ‘stopping’,”

He added, “Ngayon kung gusto mo talaga ‘stop’, my orders, barilin niyo lahat. Pag dinemanda kayo, sabihin niyo sa fiscal, si Duterte ‘yan. Isali mo si Duterte kasi siya ang nagbigay ng order,”
