As Aquino’s leading man, Kris Aquino responded to the netizens about Derek Ramsay choosing her to be the leading girl. She stated, “Sino [ang dapat]? Na-close to my age, believable, and most importantly — willing to shoot kahit last minute. I am so grateful to [Derek Ramsay]. He looks unbelievably perfect onscreen.”

Meanwhile, Derek wasn’t the first chose given as the leading man on the said movie.

Last October, Aquino announced she will drop out of the movie but clarified it’s not because of Bistek, but because the only person she asked for, her cinematographer, just couldn’t do the project because of scheduling conflicts.
