After Two Years Philippine Eagle Hatched In Captivity

It was first time in the two years of a Philippine Eagle that it hatched in captivity. The conservationist said that the endangered species fight against extinction. The chick hatched at theconservation center in the Southern Province of Davao last December 7, 2015. It was the first in two years and the 26th in 23 years, Philippine Eagle Foundation curator Anna Mae Sumaya said.
She also added that it gives hope to them that the species can still be preserved because it’s still hatching. “This gives us hope that we can somehow supplement the Philippine eagle population,” Sumaya told AFP.

Its about 600 Philippine eagles in the wild and 34 others, including the hatchling, are kept in a massive cage at the center.It is very important to protect this eagles because it symbolizes our country and it is the one of the best asset we can show to other people. We hope that this progress will continue as what it started.11
