Marlisa Punzalan proclaimed the new winner of “X Factor” Australia 2014 during the Grand Final on Monday, October 20, 2014.

She is the youngest contestant joined the famous reality music competition in the country. Marlisa is a Filipino raised contestant declared as the youngest “Champion” of ‘The X Factor’ Australia 2014 and bested two other Australian singers Dean Ray and Brothers 3, who placed 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Marlisa’s outstanding performances in singing since audition of The X Factor Australia have made her name popular following after the footstep of the first ever Filipino caregiver Rose Fostanes that won the X Factor Israel.

During the grand finale, the 15-year-old sang her best selected songs that made the Filipino proud of her and made her famous not only in Australia but all over the world as well. The three songs Marlisa sang in the X Factor Australia includes the “Titanium” on her best moments on the show. On the Final Round last Sunday — “Yesterday,” “Never Be The Same” with Aussie R&B singer Jessica Mauboy, and “Stand by You.”

Marlisa was mentored by Ronan Keating. After the proclamation of winner, Marlisa secured a recording contract from Sony Music Australia.
