In the second time around of hosting the UAAP Cheerdance competition 2014, Jessy Mendiola drew flaks by the netizens after her mispronunciation of the words “plaques of appreciation” as she pronounced it “pleyks of appreciation.”

During the awarding of prizes to the winning team of the UAAP Cheerdance competition, the 21-year-old Kapamilya actress has pronounced “pleyks of appreciation” instead of “plaques of appreciation.” Immediately, the netizens expressed their criticism over the actress but unknown to all if she just articulated the words in her own style or she was really unprepared of her script as the netizens claimed to be she was.

Amidst the harsh criticism against the actress, Mendiola was able to managed situation. She was even more professional the ways she replied over criticism as she posted a message quote on her official Instagram account saying: “There is no need to be perfect to inspire others. Let people get inspired by how you deal with your imperfections,” the quote read.

Together with the picture message a caption was also appeared that reads: “Good morning. Mahal ko kayo kahit ayaw niyo sakin ‘pleyks’ man.”

Fans and supporters of the actress following her on the no.1 image–sharing site, Instagram have expressed support to her proving that they are sincere and loyal to her.
