Teen King Heartthrob Daniel Padilla finally admitted that it was his voice heard in the short audio clip circulating online since Friday, September 19, 2014.
In a similar report published on media website Philstar.com quoting the live interview with Boy Abunda and Kris Aquino on the late night show “Aquino & Abunda Tonight” on Monday, September 23, 2014, Daniel took the issue slightly noting that there are people who wanted to destroy his good showbiz personality.
“Magaling sila, magaling sila sa round na ‘to. Pero babawi tayo sa second round,” he said.
Daniel also confirmed that one of his friends was responsible of uploading the audio clip but he did not mentioned a name.
The 19-year-old “matinee idol” denied that he and the girl involved in the 90-second audio clip is close to each other. But he mentioned that they are still friend.
“Wala, gano’n talaga, e. “We’re not really that close. Pero still a friend. Nangyayari talaga pero hindi ko alam kung [anong dahilan]. Pero okay lang,” explained the actor.
The name of the two persons involved in the controversial audio clip are the celebrity couple Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Sam Concepcion in which Daniel is working with Jasmine in the film “Bonifacio Ang Unang Pangulo” which is also expected to compete this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).
Padilla explained further noting to some portion of the controversial audio saying; “Tinext ko ulit ‘yong babae, hindi nagre-reply. No’ng paalis na kami, nag-reply, ; “Tinext ko ulit ‘yong babae, hindi nagre-reply. No’ng paalis na kami, nag-reply, ‘Bahay ka na?’ sabi ko, ‘oo, men.’ Kinikilig na naman t****** ko, men… Umalis na kayo, wala na si Tatay. Wala na mangugulo sa akin, lalo na ‘yong tropa ni Sam!” the actor narrated.
Because of this controversial audio, many of the “KathNiel” fans and supporters were bashing the 20-year-old Australian-Filipina actress, Jasmine Curtis-Smith.
Padilla also added that he already explained to his rumoured girlfriend Kathryn Bernardo what was actually happening behind the audio clip, considering that she was also affected by the controversial issue.
“Alam naman nating talagang nalungkot rin si Kathryn. Misunderstanding. In-explain ko na lahat, naintindihan niya naman, kaya ang laking pasasalamat na pinatawad niya ako,” he said.
The actor also admitted mistakes and he was saddened about the incident but he was thankful for the learning he got out of it.
“Do’n lang ako nagkamali, lalaki ako, e. Kung may sisisihin dito ako lang siguro ‘yon. Kaya ako na lang po, ‘wag na ‘yong iba.
“Nagpapasalamat na lang ako sa Diyos na binigyan niya ako ng ganitong problema. Nagpapasalamat ako dahil natututo ka sa mga pagkakamali.”
