In history during the World War II, the one of the Greatest done by Philippines is to share their lands as refugee of different race, especially to the Israelites that hide from the Germans “Nazis” at that time.

This historical fact will be documented entitled “Rescue in the Philippines: Refuge from the Holocaust” which is premiered on Thursday, and the President Aquino is the host.

The Philippines at that time became a refugee of 1,300 Jews saved from Germans in WWII, their missions started when the five Frieder brothers, asked their poker buddy the Filipino former President Manuel Quezon had a mission to bring the 1,300 Refugees to the Philippines.

The Israel Embassy, who based in Manila, said that many countries turned their backs on the Jews, but the Philippines did not.

According to their statement “Manuel L. Quezon opened the doors of his country as he shared the same sentiments with the Frieder brothers, McNutt and Eisenhower on the right to live and it was simply the right thing to do to help their fellowmen who needed help.”

The president Aquino said to the Jews who escaped from Nazis “The measure of our humanity is our ability to give of ourselves, even, and perhaps most importantly, when it hurts.”

The producers of documentary film took for 2 years to finish. But, the most gratifying things they have accomplished in their lifetime.
