Nathan Bautista’s convincing performance of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing” during “The Voice Kids” blind audition was able to turn the chairs of all three coaches even if he is still in the first line of the song.
The 8-year-old boy from Imus, Cavite totally amazed three coaches that made them to dance and sing along with him during his performance.
After he performed, coach Lea Salonga jumped off her seat to come to him and hug the boy. She explained she was overwhelmed and so much excited listening him the way he song with such a wonderful performance.
“Galing mo kumanta for someone so young! Galing ng tainga mo, galing ng rhythm mo… parang ikaw talaga yung lider ng banda,” Salonga said.
Coach Sarah Geronimo also admitted that Bautista’s voice was very impressive in a way he performed such wonderful performance at his age.
“Nathan ang cute, cute, cute mo! Pero hindi cute ang galing mo, halimaw yung galing mo sa pagkanta e!” she exclaimed.
The boy admitted that his father was a big influence in his singing skills as he is a former singer of a rock band.
Coach Bamboo Mañalac, who have expressed his willingness to coach for Bautista because of his interest in rock music, describing it that they have the same thing in common of interest in the type of music, he said that the boy’s performance was all natural.
“Ganda ng performance mo, napaka-natural mo, wala kang ginagaya. You sounded like your age, nakakatuwa lang,” coad Bamboo said.
All three coaches showed interest to coach Bautista but they let the boy to choose them, and the lot fall to Coach Bamboo.
Bautista, narrated that he joined “The Voice Kids” to show his God-given talent in singing.
Mommy Lyn, shared that she discovered the voice of her son when he was just 11 months old as they were humming along the melody of a song.
