The grandmother of Deniece Cornejo, Lola Florencia has filed a grave coercion complaint against Atty. Alma Mallonga the lawyer of Vhong Navarro in connection to the alleged physical confrontation last Friday.

Lola Florencia formally filed complaint at the Taguig Regional Trial Court on Tuesday, where she and Atty. Mallonga reportedly scuffled during the hearing of Navarro’s case of serious illegal detention against Cedric Lee, Deniece Cornejo and Simeon “Zimmer” Raz, Jr.

According to Lola Florencia, she was pushed by the lawyer of Vhong Navarro, Atty. Alma Mallonga for the reason that she was wearing a shirt with the campaign written on it saying: “Justice for Deniece, Jail the Rapist.” The said campaign is in connection to the case filed by Deniece Cornejo against Navarro but the case was dismissed by the Department of Justice.

However, Atty. Mallonga has denied the allegations. According to Mallonga she was only asking about what she was wearing, referring to the shirt of Lola Florencia.

In connection to the case, Navarro’s camp presented Dr. Kirt Delovino during Tuesday’s hearing for the serious illegal detention case.

Delovino said he treated Navarro at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Taguig after the mauling incident took place inside Cornejo’s condominium unit last January 22.

According to Atty. Mallonga, Delovino’s testimony will be used as the proof of evidence that her client was diagnosed, with that, the injuries that were sustained, and the treatment that Vhong Navarro received, you can say or you can conclude that he suffered serious physical injuries as this is defined under the law.”
