Lola Florencia Cornejo, the grandmother of Deneice Cornejo finally broke silence and appeared on media to defend her granddaughter Deniece, from the critics brought by the controversial issue between Deniece versus the comedian actor Vhong Navarro.

In an interview with Raymond Gutierrez on TV5’s “Showbiz Police” aired on Monday, March 3, 2014 Lola Florencia described her 22-year-old granddaughter Deniece that she was highly-esteem being religious and conservative woman.

“Very conservative ang batang ‘yan. Busy lagi sa commercials. Pero never nag-smoke at nag-drink kasi laking simbahan ‘yang batang ‘yan,” Lola Florencia said.

According to Lola Florencia, the entire family members are affected because of the said incidents and every one of them are being criticized.

Lola Florencia shared that Deniece was never a problem to them. She said that they were happy living together with her parents having with Deniece since she is a very nice girl being obedience and respectful.

“Ang mga magulang ni Deniece ay masayang nagsasama. Ang kanyang ama ay 16 years nang nagtatrabaho sa cruise ship. Ang kanya namang ina ay isang plain housewife. At paminsan-minsan, kung myaroong kaunting paninda, ‘yon ang kanyang naitutulong sa asawa,” said Florenciana.

Lola Florencia admitted that she was surprised after seeing the kissing video of her daughter with Cedric Lee inside the elevator of condominium unit, but she said that Denice has been explained her already and she will not be bothered anymore about it.

“Noong makita ko, nagulat ako, pero noong maipaliwanag ng apo ko, ang sabi ni Cedric, huwag ka nang magnerbiyos kasi si Cedric harot,” said Florencia.
