Malaya Watson, Filipino-American singer qualifies to the next round of America’s most popular singing competition the “American Idol 2014.” Watson was able to pass the recent AI elimination and makes her way advance to next round of the American Idol Season 13. Result was officially announced by the American Idol 2014 organizers on Thursday, (Friday morning in Manila time, February 28, 2014).

Malaya Watson was among the bottom three contestants that include MK Nobilette and Kristen O’Connor, vying to qualify and enter the Top 12 Finalists of American Idol Season 13.

During the performance of the Top-13, Malaya was the first called with her song “Runaway Baby” popularized by Bruno Mars she made it to the Top-12. Kristin O’Connor, one among the three bottom finalists of Top-13 was eliminated, went home and ended her journey of winning the most coveted title of the American Idol 2014 while Malaya Watson and MK Nobilette continue their journey went on and proceed to the next round of the competition.

Before the announcement of Top-12 Finalist, all 13 contestants sing together with the song “Counting Stars” popularized by Imagine Dragons “Radioactive” accompanied with American Idol alumni Candice Glover.
