U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry will come to visit the Philippines particularly to Tacloban City the area in Visayas that was severely affected by the super typhoon Yolanda.

This is the first visit of Kerry in the country since he took the office that is to see personally the present situation after the super typhoon Haiyan (international name) devastated Tacloban City.

According to the state Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki, Kerry is planning to go to the most affected areas in Visayas province in order to witness the undertaking recovery efforts and to see to it how the United State can help victims in relief operation and contribute to the reconstruction work effort.

The 70-year-old US diplomat will be visiting Southeast Asian nation especially in Vietnam where he fought during the war.

In his scheduled trip on December 11-18 he flies to Israel and Ramallah to celebrate his birthday there on Wednesday then proceed to Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi before heading to the Philippines to the storm-hit area of Tacloban.
