Philippine Contestant Miss Universe 2013 Ariella Arida is having a great day with the Rappler team in taking photo-shoots in an exclusive meeting.According to the Rappler team it was an honor for them and a great privilege that the beauty queen sat down with them to make a short conversation and make an exclusive live interview in-spite of the fact of her hectic schedules in preparing the fly to Moscow, Russia on the 21st of October 2013 for the Miss Universe pageant 2013.
During the conversation with the beauty queen, she admitted that it is very exciting to go to Russia for the first time for the reason of competition, and proud to represent the Philippine country in the beauty contest. Added to that the 24-year-old from Alaminos, Laguna also admitted that she is excited to experience the cold weather for the first time as it’s really going to be cold in Russia during November.
The Miss Universe-Philippine 2013 is working hard to gain more confidence by maintaining and improving her body figure as it is one of the most important factor in the competition. She said that “being slim is not enough. You have to be toned” and she is now working for that.
She also mentioned that she never thought that one day her dream to be a beauty queen would come true. Because some people throw negative comments that she was a boyish and sporty when she was young and in fact she never wore heels only after she enters to the world of pageant at the age of 21.
After she finished her baccalaureate degree from the University of the Philippines Los Baños in Laguna as Chemistry, she worked as Technical sales executive and at the same time she enter modeling for a year. When the opportunity opens for her to join the Bb Pilipinas, she resigned from her job and concentrate on the competition. Now Ara is very thankful to God for the hard work paid off. She believes that she is now on the way of getting the crown of glory.
Ariella “Ara” Hernandez Arida was born on November 20, 1988 in Alaminos Laguna, Philippines. She loves outdoor undertakings especially the beach as she is a sports-minded-woman. She gained many experiences in the pageant. Prior to the winning of title, the Chemistry graduate competed at Miss Philippines Earth 2012 and also she was a former Binibining Lguna contestant.
