On Thursday, June 30, Kris Aquino shared another health update on Instagram, stating that she had healed from COVID-19 while receiving treatment for her autoimmune disorders in the US.

Kris Aquino is presently seeking treatment for her autoimmune disorders in the US as a result of the recent announcement that she and her kids tested positive for COVID-19.

Before posting an open letter she wrote to her late brother, former president Noynoy Aquino, Kris posted recordings and images of herself having various treatment.

She stated in the letter that she had experienced a negative reaction to a corticosteroid challenge, a test conducted under medical supervision to determine a patient’s tolerance for particular drugs.

When Kris received “such a baby dose,” her blood pressure didn’t spike immediately, but several hours later, “everything the steroid should help – like make antihistamines work better, lessen pain and inflammation; the opposite happened to me.”

“First the hives started multiplying, then my body started to hurt all over – normally my pain tolerance is impressive but this time bunso started sobbing. Then of course my BP (blood pressure) went haywire,” she stated.
She added that from May 7 to May 11, she needed to be put to sleep because her suffering was “because my pain was too hard to endure.”

First, Kris gave the “good news,” noting that she had undergone testing for cancer-related genes, and the results were all negative. She added that her liver and kidneys continued to work regularly.

The three autoimmune disorders she had been diagnosed with, autoimmune thyroiditis, chronic spontaneous urticaria, and the extremely rare condition eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis, she claimed, had all been prescribed to treat (EGPA).

“We came here for me to try MEPOLIZUMAB – not yet FDA-approved in Singapore nor the Philippines. For a patient to get the full effect you need 300 mg every month,” she added.

I was the allergy clinic’s very first patient to respond that way, she claimed, and “Less than two days after my first 300 mg dose was given – this worst of the worst vascular and urticarial flare started – it was almost a week before I somehow semi-recovered. I was the allergy clinic’s very first patient to react that way.”

Additionally, she tried Cromolyn, a medication that was meant to assist in reintroducing food into her system.

Then Kris revealed that even after isolating Josh, she and Bimb tested positive for COVID-19 a few days ago.
