The non-renewal of ABS-CBN’s congressional franchise resulted to a decision of a force retrenchment of several workers in the TV Network starting August 31. The retrenchment comes after 70 lawmakers voted to totally terminated the Kapamilya Network and cease some of its operation in the business.

In spite of its lose, the Kapamilya Network is still committed to do the right thing to mitigate the pain felt by those affected workers that include paying monetary equivalent like separation pay and retirement benefits and the Kapamilya Network also provide job placement programs.

The ABS-CBN also expressed hurtful feelings in implementing retrenchment but according to Kapamilya this is the only way to ensure continued employment of the other workers of ABS-CBN.

For those affected workers, the Kapamilya Network enjoined their prayer for the affected members lose their job that they may have strength and guidance to face the challenges ahead.
