Now, the The Hollywood “awards season” has officially announce Mad Max: Fury Road as its Best Film of 2015 with the National Board of Review of Motion Pictures.
The Mad Max: Fury Road with the best over 250 movies evaluated by film enthusiasts, filmmakers, professionals, academics, and students that comprise the National Board of Review.
It was a surprise although the film, directed by George Miller and starring actress Charlize Therone in a story set in a post-apocalyptic future, was a box office hit that raked in $376 million worldwide. It was not expected to be a contender for major awards such as the Oscars or the Golden Globes.
Here are also some list of this year’s top films: Bridge of Spies, Creed, The Hateful Eight, Inside Out, Spotlight, The Martian, Room, Sicario, and Straight Outta Compton, had bypassed some Oscar contenders such as Steve Jobs, Brooklyn, and Joy.
However, last year, the independent film A Most Violent Year was named the best movie of 2014.
