The September 2023 LET Results: Passers, Topnotchers, and Schools’ Performance” will be available online approximately 40-51 working days after the exam, falling between November 21 and December 7, 2023. This release will encompass results for both Elementary and Secondary levels.
On Sunday, September 24, 2023, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) administered the second regular LET board exam for the year across a network of at least 40 testing centers nationwide, including an international center in Bangkok, Thailand. These testing centers were strategically located in major cities and regions, including but not limited to Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, and Zamboanga, to accommodate aspiring educators.

To cater to the growing number of examinees and ensure accessibility while minimizing travel-related expenses, the PRC also designated additional test centers. These new centers were established in various locations, including Antique, Bacolod, Bohol, Dumaguete, General Santos, Palawan, and many others across the Philippines. This expansion aimed to provide a more convenient and accessible testing experience for the hopeful candidates participating in the teachers’ board exam

EXAMINATION HISTORY
In the March 2023 Licensure Exam for Teachers (LET), the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) released results within forty-two (42) working days. Out of 60,896 examinees, 24,819 elementary teachers successfully passed the exams, achieving a pass rate of 40.76%.
The October 2022 massive Licensure Exam for Teachers (LET) saw results announced after fifty-six (56) working days. A total of 49,783 elementary teachers successfully passed the exams out of 91,468 examinees, with a pass rate of 54.43%.
In the June 2022 Licensure Exam for Teachers, the fourth and final batch of LET for the postponed board exams in 2020-2021, PRC released results in just 30 working days. Out of 17,149 examinees, 8,667 elementary teachers passed the exams, achieving a pass rate of 50.54%.
During the Third Batch of LET in March 2022, PRC remarkably released results in only twenty-five (25) working days. Among 20,567 examinees, 10,039 elementary teachers successfully passed the exams, resulting in a pass rate of 48.81%.
For Batch 2 LET in January 2022, PRC announced results within thirty (30) working days. A total of 8,737 elementary teachers passed the tests out of 15,696 examinees, yielding a pass rate of 55.66%.
In the First Batch of LET in September 2021, PRC released results after forty-seven (47) working days. Out of 8,726 examinees, 4,883 elementary teachers successfully passed the exams, achieving a pass rate of 55.96%.
In the last teacher’s board exam before the pandemic in September 2019, PRC announced results within fifty (50) working days. Out of 92,440 examinees, 28,973 elementary teachers passed the exams, resulting in a pass rate of 31.34%.
Note: From March 2013 to March 2023, the average passing rate for the Elementary Level exam was 34.32%, with 3 out of 10 takers successfully passing the exams.
As per PRC Resolution No. 1589 series of 2022, the anticipated release date for the September 2023 LET board exam results is December 7, 2023 (Thursday), marking 50 working days after the examination. It is important to note that results may be unveiled earlier or later than the specified target date, and such variations can occur without prior notice. These discrepancies are attributed to diverse factors, including the total number of examinees, potential disruptions caused by work cancellations due to unforeseen events or calamities, and the intricacies associated with the process of checking the pencil-based tests. Candidates and stakeholders are advised to stay vigilant and await official announcements from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) for the most accurate and up-to-date information on the release of the exam results.
The September 2023 LET comprised two parts for Elementary candidates, covering General Education (40%) and Professional Education (60%). Secondary candidates faced a more detailed examination with three parts, encompassing General Education (20%), Professional Education (40%), and Specialization (40%).
The comprehensive test delved into essential areas, with General Education encompassing English, Filipino, Mathematics, Science, and Social Sciences. Professional Education explored critical aspects of the teaching profession, including social dimensions of education, principles of teaching, education technology, curriculum development, facilitating learning, child and adolescent development, assessment of student learning, developmental reading, field study, and practice teaching. Additionally, Secondary Teacher candidates could choose from eight specializations, each with specific exam coverage: English, Filipino, Science, Mathematics, Social Studies, Values Education, MAPEH (Music, Arts, Physical Education, and Health), and TLTVE (Technology Livelihood, Tech-Voc Education).
Notably, in the Specialization subject, only Mathematics candidates were permitted to use a calculator with specific features, as outlined in Resolution No. 25, series of 2019 issued by the Board for Professional Teachers.
