The relatives of Jovelyn Galleno approached Sen. Raffy Tulfo for assistance in completing a DNA test on the bones retrieved on Tuesday, August 23,2022.
Jovelyn’s sister revealed in an interview with Raffy Tulfo in Action that quickly after her sister went missing, residents searched the area but found no evidence of a lifeless corpse until the remains were recovered on Monday, August 22.
She confirmed that the items were for Jovelyn, such as the purse her sister was carrying when she vanished.
Sen. Raffy Tulfo agreed to help Onalyn acquire a second deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) test to establish that the skeleton bones belonged to Jovelyn.
A medicolegal officer also shared her opinions on the bones that were recently recovered in Palawan and are likely to be those of the missing person.
Doc. Eunice Herrera, a medicolegal officer in Puerto Princesa, shared her thoughts on the situation.
She feels that the process of bodily decomposition may take a long time due to weather and other variables.
Many concerns are being discussed on social media. After the PNP Palawan conducted a DNA test on the suspected remains of Jovelyn, netizens were skeptical because a police officer was also a suspect in the case. According to netizens, the outcome may be concealed.
Raffy Tulfo requested assistance from the NBI Palawan in conducting another DNA test on Jovelyn’s supposed remains. We are now awaiting the NBI DNA findings. We will provide an update later.
