When PEP told Ruru Madrid that others had said that his Kapuso series Lolong had finally won Cardo Dalisay in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, he appeared embarrassed to respond.
These are some of the remarks that our listeners made during our radio program on DZRH after Coco Martin announced that the nearly seven-year-old television series would end in three weeks.
Actually, because the story is becoming more intense, they are really concentrating on Lolong at our house.
Ruru explained to us that this is crucial in order to fully enhance the narrative for the benefit of the viewers.
Ruru has reportedly just wrapped up filming a drama series. In order to make it exciting for the viewers, he said he is concentrating on how it will be shown on television.
“Ngayon pa lang po tumitindi ang mga aksyon at mga rebelasyon sa Lolong kaya kahit ako po as a viewer, sobrang na-hook po talaga ako.
“This is actually the first time na manood ako ng serye ko na tapos na bago ipalabas kaya kahit ako, bumabalik sa pakiramdam ko kung paano namin ito ginawa at pinagpaguran,” he continued.
Ruru’s response was the ideal one: modest and kind.
People and reptiles cannot be compared in the same way that apples and lemons can. Different, in fact.
We appreciate the fact that Ruru is grounded because at least he can tell the difference between hype and reality.
Grandpa worked hard for every accomplishment he has today, overcoming many obstacles along the way.
Best wishes and congratulations to you, Ruru!
