Nina has a special concert to mark her 20th anniversary

Raine Tenorio

Nina is an original Pilipino Music (OPM) performer with a collection of albums, covers, and original songs. They discuss her career achievements and the musical genres she has explored.

One example is the “Nina Live!” album, in which Asia’s Diamond Soul Siren performed live, in front of an audience, love songs from the 1970s and 1990s, demonstrating yet another aspect of their artistry and versatility.

As a result, in addition to recording songs, the public greatly valued her live singing skills.

20 years after revolutionizing OPM live recordings, Nina will commemorate the 20th anniversary of her iconic album Nina Live! with the special “Nina XX” concert, which promises to be both nostalgic and innovative.

In reference to the album’s milestone anniversary and her own anniversary in the music business, Nina said, ” Almost sabay ba ’yan? Hindi naman, pero parang together na rin, celebrating both.”

Nina Live!, which was released in 2005, went on to become one of the best-selling albums in the Philippines. It is known for its intimate, jam-session atmosphere and simple arrangements, which led to singles like “Love Moves in Mysterious Ways,” “Through the Fire,” and “I Love You Goodbye.”

Nina assured that devoted fans who have been wondering if they would ever again hear the well-loved songs sung live in their original form will be treated.

For the anniversary performance, the singer disclosed that she will be working with her longtime musical director, Soc Mina.

She mentioned their prior collaboration during her previous show, which garnered them praise at the Aliw Awards, and stated, “I’m gonna to be with my long time musical director na si Soc Mina.”

Nina explained that although the atmosphere of the show would be similar to that of the original live CD, fans can anticipate more elaborate preparations.

The Newport Performing Arts Theater will host the event on March 9.
