MANILA — Actress Barbie Forteza plans to spend Valentine’s Day on a date with herself as she continues to value self-love, friendship, and personal growth.

In an interview held on Friday in San Juan City on the 81st birthday of her co-star Boots Anson Roa-Rodrigo from “Until She Remembers,” she said, “I made plans for myself. I will spend it alone just like last year.”

Forteza said that having a solid support network around her makes her feel fulfilled.

“Until She Remembers,” which is scheduled to open in theaters across Nationwide on February 25, will include Forteza as Charo Santos’ granddaughter.

Kapuso star Barbie Forteza revealed that she will be spending Valentine’s Day alone this year, a candid admission that resonated with many fans ahead of the love-filled holiday.

The award-winning actress shared that while Valentine’s Day is often associated with romance and grand gestures, she sees the occasion as just another day—one that doesn’t necessarily need to be spent with a romantic partner.

Rather than feeling pressured by expectations surrounding the holiday, Forteza said she plans to treat the day as an opportunity for self-care, rest, and reflection. With a busy schedule filled with acting projects and endorsements, the actress emphasized that her current priority is her personal growth and career.

Industry insiders note that Forteza has been fully immersed in her work, with several upcoming projects keeping her calendar packed well beyond February.

Barbie’s openness struck a chord with fans, particularly those who also expect to spend Valentine’s Day without a partner. Many praised her for normalizing the idea that being single does not equate to loneliness.

On social media, supporters flooded comment sections with messages of encouragement, applauding her honesty and independence.

Known for her grounded personality, Forteza reiterated that love comes in many forms—family, friendships, and self-worth included. She encouraged people not to feel discouraged if their Valentine’s Day plans look different from what’s traditionally portrayed.

As the holiday approaches, Forteza’s message serves as a reminder that being alone can also be empowering, and that happiness isn’t measured by one’s relationship status.
