In a ceremony held in Austin, Texas, Joj Agpangan, a former housemate on Pinoy Big Brother, was baptized and had her faith revitalized. As she embarks on a new chapter in her life, the actress wrote on Instagram that it was “one of the best decisions” she has ever made.

“I’ve always known God, but life can get loud with social media, pressure, expectations, and being a public figure. I spent so much of my life trying to please everyone… and forgetting who I was really living for,” she wrote.

“God was guiding me the whole time. Even in the uncertainty, He was steady. He was patient. He was leading me closer to Him,” she said, adding that making the significant decision to relocate from the Philippines to the US was one of “the biggest changes” she has experienced and that her faith enabled her to quickly adapt to her new surroundings.

Joj willingly agreed to participate in the baptism because she believed it was time to reaffirm her beliefs.

“God has been moving so gently, so powerfully in my life — giving us blessings, new opportunities, peace, and surrounding us with the right people at the right time. And doing this with my man beside me made this moment even more meaningful,” she said.

“This is a new beginning. A step of obedience. A step of trust. A step into the life God has been preparing me for,” she added.

As she starts on a new chapter in her life—one that takes her outside of her comfort zone in the Philippines—the former PBB housemate shared her excitement.

“Lord, I love You. Thank You for guiding me, strengthening me, and never letting go of my hand — from the Philippines, to Austin, to this exact moment. I’m proud to be Your daughter,” she concluded.

In the post’s comment section, friends and family congratulated her.
