Ogie Diaz recently issued a caution to netizens regarding a fraudulent advertisement. Taking to Instagram, the singer-songwriter shared a snapshot of a Facebook post featuring the deceptive ad, falsely asserting that Ogie had utilized a specific product to overcome osteoarthritis.
According to Ogie, he has encountered and reported such misleading posts multiple times, but unfortunately, some persist. Ogie Alcasid felt compelled to share a screenshot exposing a fake advertisement that misused his images and identity to make baseless claims.
“I have seen several posts of these and some have been reported pero wala pa ring tigil yung iba. Nakakalungkot po.”
The posted ad on his Instagram falsely asserted that the “It’s Showtime” host relied on a particular product for osteoarthritis recovery. Ogie sternly warned netizens, saying, “Guys, this is not me.” He proceeded to implore everyone, “Please refrain from following and trusting these individuals. Unless I personally endorse products on my social media, any claims suggesting otherwise are untrue.”
Concluding with a hopeful note, he added, “May the Lord bless us all.”
