The production company behind the noontime show “Eat Bulaga” has denied reports that it would be end in July. Atty. Maggie Abraham Garduque, a representative for TAPE Inc., denied the reports and indicated that there is no cause to make an assumption like that.
Because of the show’s low ratings, suspicion regarding its ending surfaced online, notably on July 1 when competing shows “It’s Showtime” and “E. A. T.” launched on GTV and TV5, respectively.
However, Garduque stated that while viewers curiosity of the new shows affected the ratings that day, “Eat Bulaga” rates have since returned.
According to GMA News, Garduque stated that their legal team would evaluate if they should file charges against people responsible for distributing misleading information.
She highlighted that the main objective of “Eat Bulaga” is to offer enjoyment and help to Filipinos, and that the program would continue to serve its mission as long as there is a viewers that backs and embraces it.
