The well-known personality, popularly known as “Hipon Girl,” claimed that Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE Inc.) had approached her about hosting the new version of Eat Bulaga.

Hipon verified the rumours spreading on social media during a press conference for GMA 7’s new show “Magandang Dilag,” and said that she had been contacted to become part of the new Eat Bulaga host as one of the replacements for the hosts that resigned from TAPE on May 31, 2023.

Despite the offer, Hipon declined it, not simply because she was afraid of possible criticism, but due to her existing schedule. She announced her willingness to consider the offer once her current projects had finished.

“After po nito, why not po? Sobrang happy po ako kung sakali po,” she revealed.

“Sa tamang panahon naman po yan, eh. May mga bagay naman po siguro na kung para sa yo, para sa yo,” she continued.
