According to PAGASA, Severe Tropical Storm Chedeng may strengthen into a typhoon as it travels towards the Philippine Sea.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration issued the most recent weather report in the country on Thursday, June 8, 2023. The weather in the nation will be affected by Severe Tropical Storm Chedeng.
Chedeng was last seen 1,090 kilometers east of Central Luzon, carrying maximum sustained winds of 95 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 115 kilometers per hour, according to PAGASA.
The weather system is traveling west-northwest at a speed of 10 kilometers per hour. However, it will have no immediate effect on the country in the next three to five days.
Over Palawan, the southwest monsoon will bring overcast skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.
Over Metro Manila and the rest of the nation, the southwest monsoon and localized thunderstorms will produce partly overcast to cloudy weather conditions with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
