According to PAGASA, the state weather bureau, amihan, and isolated thunderstorms will deliver rain to portions of the country.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration issued the most recent weather update in the country on Friday (February 10, 2023). The northeast monsoon and isolated thunderstorms will have an impact on the country’s weather.
According to PAGASA, the northeast monsoon, or amihan, will strike Luzon. The northeast monsoon will bring overcast skies and rain to Bicol and Quezon.
Localized thunderstorms will provide partly overcast to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms to Visayas, Mindanao, and southern Palawan. The rest of Palawan, including the Kalayaan Islands and Occidental Mindoro, will face similar weather conditions.
Amihan will bring the similar meteorological conditions to Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
“Sa nalalabing bahagi ng Luzon, generally fair weather condition at may mga tiyansa lamang ng pag-ulan at pag-ambon, Dito sa kalakhang Visayas at Mindanao, generally magiging maaliwalas ang panahon at may tiyansa lamang ng mga localized thunderstorms na maaaring magtagal ng dalawang oras,” Pagasa weather specialist Patrick del Mundo said.
However, coastal water conditions in extreme northern Luzon and the country’s east will be moderate to rough. The rest of the nation will have mild to moderate sea conditions.
According to PAGASA, tropical cyclones are unlikely to form inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility in the next three days.
