The Showtime host posted his New Year’s greetings to the public on social media, along with a photo of himself and his family.
Vhong Navarro, a Kapamilya actor and TV host, was able to spend the holidays with his family and friends after the Taguig Regional Trial Court (RTC) allowed him to post bail. He posted a P1 million bail for his temporary release.
Vhong is currently embroiled in a legal battle with model Deniece Cornejo. The two have been at odds since 2014 over a condominium dispute that has become one of the biggest controversies involving a showbiz celebrity in the Philippines.
Vhong voluntarily surrendered to authorities in September 2022.He was detained for about two (2) months at the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Detention Facility before being transferred to Taguig City Jail, where he remained until December.
Vhong’s supporters filed a bail petition. The hearings were held prior to the actor’s transfer to Taguig City Jail. Several days before Christmas, the actor and his team received good news when the court granted him bail of P1 million.
Vhong spent time with his family after being released from the court. His legal counsel confirmed that he intends to return to Showtime, the ABS-CBN noontime variety show on which he is a regular host, but that he first wants to rest and spend time with his family for the holidays.
