Veteran entertainment journalist Cristy Fermin discussed the reported cause of actor McCoy de Leon and actress Elisse Joson’s split in her YouTube show.

McCoy and Elisse became close after they were made housemates on Pinoy Big Brother. 

They became known as the McLisse love team as a result. 

They eventually made an announcement that they had welcomed their daughter Felize.

The former couple, however, stated in prior interviews that they had no plans to be married just yet. 

Rumors that their relationship is in trouble started to circulate before 2022 came to an end.

Later, McCoy de Leon revealed that his relationship with Elisse Joson was over.

The actor denied that a third party was involved. Elisse and McCoy did not give a reason for their breakup, but rumors have emerged that the actress is reportedly a nag.

On a recent edition of Cristy Fermin’s YouTube talk program Showbiz Now Na, which also features Romel Chika and Wendell Alvarez, they discussed the reported cause of McLisse’s separation.

Elisse’s mother is not proud of McCoy being a son-in-law, according to Wendell. 

However, Cristy claimed that the actor thanks the actress’s mother for raising their daughter.

“Yun nga and tinuturong dahilan na mula’t mula pa, from day one pa lang, ayaw na ng mommy ni Elisse kay McCoy,” Cristy said.

Romel also recalled Elisse’s post in the past saying “ipinaglaban kita tapos hindi rin pala matatapos ng maganda.”

Then, Cristy questioned Romel as to why he believed Elisse’s mother disliked McCoy. Romel responded that he believes it is due to their disparate financial situations. The entertainment journalist also mentioned that some sources claimed the actor has already observed the icy treatment from the actress’s relatives.
