Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera sat out ECHO’s first M4 World Championship game against RRQ Hoshi on Monday night.

Yawi previously had a relationship with National University libero Jen Nierva.

Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera, an Esports player, became a hot topic on social media on New Year’s Day after allegations of cheating on his girlfriend, National University Lady Bulldogs libero Jennifer Nierva. On Facebook, a man named Peter Bryce posted screenshots of his text conversations with a woman.

The Esports player stated in one of the screenshots that he wanted to go to Caro’s house and asked for her address. He also attempted to contact her, but she did not respond.

According to Twitter user @caiffeinated, Yawi cheated on his previous girlfriend, Andrea Angeles. Jennifer received sympathy from netizens, whereas Yawi received social media tongue lashings.

Jaypee “Jaypee” Dela Cruz, a veteran roamer, is filling in for Yawi. The former MPL PH MVP joins the starting five, which also includes Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno, Benedict “Bennyqt” Gonzales, Alaton “Sanji” Pabico, and Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya.

ECHO finished second in Season 10 of the MPL Philippines.
