A video of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. calling Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte “Joy Beltra” by mistake has gone viral.
President Marcos’ remarks at a meeting in Quezon City have gone viral on social media. In the aforementioned video, President Marcos refers to the mayor of Quezon City as Joy Beltran rather than Joy Belmonte.
You can also see Belmonte’s reaction, in which he appears surprised by Marcos’ error. PBBM resumed his speech after giggling at his gaffe.
“Ang ating butihing alkalde ng Quezon City, Mayor ng Quezon City.. Mayor Joy Beltran,” Marcos stated.
His blunder in mispronouncing the name of Quezon City’s mayor in a video has gone viral on social media, eliciting a wide range of reactions from the online community. Arnold Clavio, a GMA broadcaster, also shares his thoughts on the viral video.
Clavio claims that everyone, including the president, makes “mistakes.” This PBBM error has also been removed from RTVM. Many online users commented on the president’s gaffe.
Some online users were irritated by Marcos’ failure to clarify himself after referring to the mayor by name. You may recall that Marcos supported former Congressman Mike Defensor over Belmonte in the most recent election.
